The Dark Realm
Tempus Vernum; The Dark Realm's Theme The Dark Realm, often compared to Scott Fitzgerald's valley of ashes in The Great Gatsby, is dark, desolate, and an overall crummy place to be. There are times when it's appropriate to ask if the Dark Realm is actually alive for several reasons. First, the Dark Realm stands only by the negative emotions that the people within carry. If there is little negativity flowing within its corridors, the Dark Realm's walls begin to crack, and it looks older. Should the opposite happen, the Dark Realm looks fresh and new. Kyuuteki himself built the Dark Realm, and the two seem to have a mental connection. If Kyuuteki is injured, the Dark Realm seems different as well. Since Kyuuteki built the Dark Realm stone by stone, he knows every inch of the fortress, and he never gets lost. When the senshi are in the Dark Realm, they try their hardest to stay happy because they know that the Dark Realm will feed from their negative emotions. It also seems as times that the Dark Realm can change a person from being happy to being mean or sad. One notorious room in the Dark Realm is called the Isolation Room. This room looks like an operating room, but the cold feeling received from this room cannot be compared to anything. Here, a person (mainly a senshi) is strapped to a large metal table, hooked up to various bags of sedatives, and placed under a physical sleep. The reason why this room is feared is that the sleep that it causes is only physical, which means that the person's mind is still fully awake. The room then got its name from the total isolation that it causes. There is nothing like the feel of being awake but not being able to sense anything what-so-ever. To date, Shakaku and Enzeru are the only ones who have gone into this room and under its physical stoper under Kash's wonderful treatment. Having lived in the Dark Realm for quite some time, the villians do not feel any emotional strain from the Dark Realm, although other citizens have often complained of such symtoms. The same can be said for the senshi, who, because they are pure, feel the most strain due to the Dark Realm's influence. Essentially, this is what Kyuuteki wanted, and he is pleased that the Dark Realm turned out the way it did.+Back+
