The House of OMG WTF BBQ

Right before my twentieth birthday, I came across the realization that I could move into my grandfather's house, and there would be no rent. Good. However, the house needed MAJOR cleaning. Thus, I have posted pictures of the escapade below. Right now I only have Before/During pictures, but I'll have After ones shortly. Enjoy!

This is my house from the outside. Notice the bars over the windows? Yeah, I feel extremely safe.
This is a nice shot of the entry room, which you get to from the car port. Digging the wall paper? Me too. What about the record player? Of course.
Another view of the same room but looking into the living room a bit. The reason why this room is the way it is is because no one ever really touches it, but I'm planning to in the near future.
This is the living room. Yes, the blinds are pink, and yes the carpet is red. Grandmother had a tendency to buy things that she thought were pretty but never thought about how everything would look together. *facepalm*
This is another shot of the living room, but you can see Andrea's piano in this one.
This is the hallway that leads into the front room (which my grandparents used) and the bigger bathroom. The closed door is the bedroom.
This is the bigger bathroom. Purple toilet. Flower curtains. Green walls and tile. Ancient vanity mirror. What's not to love?
This is my grandparents' room. We haven't touched it at all, and I don't think we'll do anything to it before summer vacation because there's no need to. Notice the purple walls? Pink blinds? Silver ceiling? *puffy sigh*
Across from the living room is the dining room. So far, this is the second pattern of carpet in the house, and you can see a peak of number three. *another facepalm* And THIS time, the blinds are purple. W00T! However, it's nice and big, and the carpet is in good condition.
Shifting the camera angle a bit, you can now see into the kitchen.I really like the area where the bar stools are; I've been eating breakfast there. As well, this area of the house is newer because it was a brand new addition that my grandparents did after they bought the house.
If you walk into the kitchen and turn to the right, you get a nice view of my brand spanking new stove and washer/dryer. Once again, however, I am NOT liking the wallpaper.
A closer view of the kitchen cabinets. Now you can also see my beautiful green sink. The stove and dish washer that used to be in the house were also a nice avocado green. At the time of this picture, their current residence was the side of the road because I got rid of them (they no longer worked).
My room while being worked on. Like the unfinished wall? Hehe. It used to be covered with orange flowers, but Brett helped to fix that. As well, we painted the walls and the baseboards. It doesn't look like it in this picture, but this room is VERY large and spacious.
